What makes a good program index file?
In general, you need a file, such as an excel file, to include a complete list of all tables, lists and graphs to create and qc on a project. SAS programmers on the team need to be assigned to source or qc for each table, list or graph. The status of DEV or PROD needs to be updated as progress is made. Finally, key metadata such as titles and footnotes can be extracted from the program index file instead of being hard-coded in programs. This gives greater flexibility to make cosmetic updates outside of the SAS program. This webinar will review the features of good program index and how you can create and maintain one.
